Sono aperte le iscrizioni al workshop internazionale sul movimento e sulle arti performative: Alle radici del sogno.
Prima di diventare il grande produttore e regista di fama mondiale e di fondare una compagnia di migliaia di artisti e tecnici, Franco Dragone è stato due cose: un figlio di un piccolo borgo sperduto fra le colline dell’Irpinia, un borgo di sole 300 anime, Cairano, e…uno studente. Uno studente di teatro legato alla recitazione, alla regia, alla Commedia dell’Arte. Vorremmo ripartire da questi due principi, Cairano e il teatro, per presentare questo laboratorio internazionale di arti performative. Riprendendo l’attività di animazione, sostegno e diffusione culturale che Franco Dragone decise di attivare in questo suo paese d’origine, ciò che ci sta più a cuore è di continuare questo slancio, scegliere di essere promotori di una rinascita costante di queste terre incantevoli, ospitali e di cuore.
Col secondo punto si vuole invece ribadire l’importanza della trasmissione e della formazione di pratiche e saperi che costituiscono il fulcro della compagnia Dragone. Ci piacerebbe attrarre i più giovani, gli artisti emergenti o in cerca di sé stessi, ma anche professionisti in cerca di uno spazio fatto di sguardi nuovi sulle arti performative. Abbiamo pensato quindi a un laboratorio estremamente variegato, multi-sfaccettato, agile e dal ritmo molto sostenuto.
Per questo ogni laboratorio non durerà più di due ore, ma en revance sarà iscritto in una successione composita mirata, nella sua globalità, ad offrire quanti più spunti diversi, quanti più sguardi possibili nell’arco di quattro giorni di lavoro. Dalla vocazione fortemente “contemporanea”, questo laboratorio vuole offrire sguardi sulle tecniche di rappresentazione più affermate oggi. Per questo un piccolo focus riguarderà la danza hip hop e funk. Marco Huysseune, insegnante di hip hop globalmente riconosciuto, si occuperà di trasmettere i principi base di questo stile di danza come anche Fares Forsan attivo in questo campo fin dagli anni ’70. Valentina Valenti invece riporterà l’attenzione su aspetti più classici provenendo da esperienze coreografiche di, fra le altre, Pina Bausch. Reda Guerinink, storico attore di molte messinscene di Franco Dragone si rivolgerà a coloro che intendono sperimentare di più la recitazione e la presenza sul palco. Filippo Ferraresi, attuale direttore artistico di Dragone, si concentrerà sull’uso dello spazio e del palco con un’attenzione verso il movimento. Antonio Audino, curatore degli spazi teatrali di Rai Radio3 offrirà invece una lezione di taglio storico sulla Commedia dell’Arte. Quattro giorni intensi in cui, speriamo, i partecipanti possano scoprire, o riscoprire, le loro inclinazioni verso il teatro.

Before becoming the great and world-famous producer and director and giving life to a global company of thousands of artists and technicians, Franco Dragone was two things: the son of a small village lost in the hills of the geographical region of Irpinia, a village of only 300 souls, Cairano, and… a student. He was a theater student, passionate with acting, the art of staging and Commedia dell’Arte. It is with these two identities in mind, Cairano and the theatre, that we present this international performing arts laboratory. Resuming the activities of animation, support and cultural diffusion that Franco Dragone activated in his country of origin, we choose to be promoters of a constant rebirth of these enchanting lands, hospitable and warm-hearted.
The transmission and training of the practices and knowledge that constitute the fulcrum of the Dragone company is incredibly important to us. To this workshop we invite young people, emerging artists and those searching for themselves, alongside experienced professionals looking for new perspectives on the performing arts. We have assembled a varied, multi-faceted, agile and fast-paced laboratory. Each workshop will last no more than two hours and will combine to create a broad and diverse offering of as many ideas and perspectives as possible over four days.
With a strongly “contemporary” vocation, this laboratory aims to offer insights into the most successful representation techniques today. For this reason, a small focus will be on hip hop and funk dance. Marco Huysseune, a globally recognized hip hop teacher, will be responsible for transmitting the basic principles of this dance style, as well as Fares Forsan, who has been active in the field since the 1970s. Valentina Valenti will bring a more classical prespective, pulling from her experience with artists like Pina Bausch. Reda Guerinink, iconic actor in multiple Franco Dragone’s stagings, will lead a workshop aimed at those who wish to experiment with acting and presence on stage. Filippo Ferraresi, current artistic director of Dragone, will focus on the use of space and stage with attention to movement. Antonio Audino, curator of the theatrical spaces of Rai Radio3 will offer a historical lesson on Commedia dell’Arte. Over these four intense days we hope participants will discover, or rediscover, their inclinations towards theatre.
