A Stadium, a People, a Story: Dragone’s Tribute to La Louvière – RAAL

On June 28 2025, Dragone staged the opening ceremony of the new stadium in La Louvière, Belgium. Under the direction of Fabrice Murgia, the performance became far more than an inauguration, it was a living tribute to the city and to its citizens, a theatrical mirror in which La Louvière could recognize its own resilience, struggles, and dreams.

For Dragone, this moment carried a profound symbolism. The company’s founder, Franco Dragone, grew up in La Louvière, and it was in this city, shaped by labor, solidarity, and imagination, that his artistic vision was forged. To return there, years later, with a creation dedicated to the people of the city, was not simply a gesture of homage, but a circle closing, a dialogue between memory and the present.

The ceremony also celebrated the football team’s promotion to Division 1, an achievement that embodies the same spirit of perseverance and collective pride. In uniting sport, art, and civic identity, the event became more than spectacle: it was a reminder that a stadium is not only a place of games, but also a temple of community, a space where a city gathers to affirm who it is, and who it dares to become.
